Short summary of the project
Net Group partnered with High Mobility to develop a cutting-edge platform for connected cars, enabling third-party developers to integrate seamlessly with multiple car manufacturers through a standardized API.
About the Customer
HIGH MOBILITY is a Berlin based company building a standardised API for connected cars. The platform enables 3rd party developers to build apps and services that connect to cars and doing it with a single integration but connecting to multiple car manufacturers.
In addition to providing a single API for all car manufacturers, the platform includes various development tools like Android, iOS, Node.js SDKs and REST API, and sandbox environments with car emulator for different brands. Moreover, the HIGH MOBILITY platform includes an App Store-like publishing environment to get traction to your apps.
Car Emulator
The High Mobility platform has a Develop Mode where you can build your apps within a sandbox environment and test your app against lightweight in-browser car emulator.
The car emulator lists all the capabilities it has available, let’s the developer change the vehicle state directly (by either manually or running different simulations) and handles all the permissions and authorisation needed when communicating with your app.
The emulator has two communication modes: telematics and bluetooth. The bluetooth communication between the browser and your mobile device is handled by Web Bluetooth API.
Node.js SDK & REST API
The High Mobility platform provides different development tools to use their AUTO API communication protocol. We have built and are actively developing their Node.js SDK and and REST API.
